There are some extra benefits of using Microsoft account instead of local account in windows 10. Follow the instruction for converting local account to Microsoft account:-
- First, go to settings from the menu bar. Then click on settings
- After that click on 'Accounts' tab.
- Then click on 'Sign in with a Microsoft account instead'.
- Then a pop-up window will appear where you have put your Hotmail email and password. Then click on 'sign in'.
- Then a pop window will appear where you have to put your local account password. Leave it blank if you don't set any password before and then click 'Next'.
- If then a pop up for set up 'use windows hello instead of password' then you could skip this by clicking 'skip this step' or you could set up a new by clicking next.
- If your Hotmail has SMS log verify setting then you need to put code which will come after a while to your mobile which number you set up in Hotmail.
- Click on verify tab from account's bar and put the secret code. Then click on 'Next'. That's it.
